High King of Ireland

Brian Boru (known in Irish as Brian Bóruma) was the High King of Ireland from 1002 until he fell at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014. He had previously been King of Tuadmumu and then became King of all of Munster. He later gained control of Leinster, before becoming High King. Brian was born 941, near Killaloe, Ireland and died April 23, 1014, Clontarf, near Dublin.

The Descendants of Brian Boru is incorporated as a non-profit, non-stock corporation. The IRS has granted a 501(c)(3) charitable status effective June 28, 2018.
The objectives of the society are charitable and educational.

​The Rock of Cashel where Brian Boru was crowned.
Situated in the heart of Cashel in County Tipperary. The name Rock of Cashel comes from the irish meaning Caiseal which stands for Strong Fort, and it has been in use since the fourth century.
